This provision meets requirements Children thoroughly enjoy their time at this welcoming and friendly club. They are greeted by staff that chat freely with the children about their day at school. They discuss what they would like to do during their time at the club and staff quickly accommodate children's wishes.

Staff plan a wide range of craft and sports activities in both the indoor and outdoor areas, for children to explore. They provide ideas and strategies to extend children's learning and skills. Children demonstrate excellent attitudes to learning.

They are encouraged to persevere. Staff skilfully intervene at just the right moment to provide encou...ragement and support while children develop their skills. Children are confident and celebrate their success when they develop a new skill.

Staff provide continuous praise, which helps to encourage children to keep on trying and promotes their self-esteem.Children build strong bonds with staff and welcome their engagement in their activities and play. The relationships between staff and children are caring and responsive.

Staff have high expectations for children's behaviour and conduct. This is reflected in children's behaviour and the respectful way they respond to each other. For instance, children demonstrate fair play as those that are faster than others give children a head start during races.

Older children help younger children as they demonstrate threading beads to create jewellery and compliment each other's creations.

What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?

Leaders and managers have a clear vision for the setting and work hard to embed their ethos. They reflect on practice and the learning environment to ensure that they facilitate children's learning and interests as well as possible.

Children are included in evaluating the provision and leaders are quick to respond to their ideas. Staff are committed to their roles, which benefits children's learning experience.Children at the club are well supported.

The caring and responsive staff ensure all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, are provided with extra support when needed. Staff work closely with parents and school staff to ensure they meet the individual requirements of all the children that attend.Children enjoy the friendly interaction they receive from staff as they join them in their play.

They provide ideas to extend their learning. For instance, showing children how to fold and snip paper to create paper planes and tying the knot in elastic while threading, to avoid the beads falling off. Children demonstrate positive attitudes towards their play through high levels of engagement and enjoyment.

This is supported by staff who consistently provide challenges and praise for children's efforts.Staff have high expectations for children's behaviour. These are displayed on posters in play areas and complement the behavioural expectations of the school to provide a consistent approach.

Children demonstrate excellent behaviour. They are polite and use good manners. Children are kind and considerate to each other and show respect for the club.

For example, children tidy tables following snack and put craft items away when they finish using them.Staff support children's understanding of being healthy. They provide a range of nutritious snacks that meets children's dietary requirements.

Healthy options, such as fruit, are readily available throughout the session to encourage children to make healthy choices. In addition, children are reminded to access water and remain hydrated, especially in hot weather. Children benefit from lots of opportunity to access fresh air through daily access to outdoor play.

The manager of the club maintains an effective partnership with children's families. Parental feedback is very positive. They comment on the effective communication as staff take time to talk to them when they collect their children.

Parents say their children thoroughly enjoy their time at the club and they would highly recommend it to other families.Regular staff meetings and supervisions mean that communication between staff is good. Leaders and managers work closely together and encourage staff to discuss any concerns as and when they arise.

Staff confirm they feel extremely well supported and receive regular training to update their skills to enhance their practice within the setting.
